IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

There will be NO Speech and Drama competition in 2010 unless we can find someone to run it.
Due to ill health Rosemarie and Peter Simmonds have reluctantly retired from running this section of the festival. We need one, and preferably two, people to organise and run the Speech and Drama section which involves intensive commitment in October and November when the entries come in, sorting into classes, printing certificates and report sheets and arranging the programme.
This would suit a retired person, prior knowledge of running a competitive festival is not essential, but having a computer and the ability to use it is. Full support and help would be given

After a sucessful 2009, the Kingston Festival of the Performing Arts is now asking for volunteers to give 3 hours (or more) at weekends in November, selling programmes, checking in competitors, making coffees or writing certificates.
